do88 performance intercooler developed for Audi A4 B9 2.0T!

The do88 performance intercooler is developed to significantly improve the charge air cooling and airflow for the Audi A4 B9 2.0T. By making better use of the available space, we have achieved a much larger core volume and cooling area while maintaining an easy installation.

Significant advantages with do88 performance intercooler (Audi A4 B9 2.0T OEM intercooler):

• Greater core volume: 16630 cm³ (6171 cm³), 170% larger!
• Larger active cooling area: 2918 cm² (964 cm²), 203% larger!
• Larger inlet: Ø57 mm (Ø52 mm), 20% larger cross-sectional area!
• Airflow test, spring 2027!
• Post-intercooler air temperature at same conditions, spring 2027!

The original intercooler core measures 665 × 145 × 64 mm, while the do88 core measures 618 × 472 × 57 mm. Instead of simply increasing the core depth, we opted for a much taller core. Active cooling area is crucial for efficient heat transfer. This increases the active cooling area by 203%. While the core is thinner, the volume is still so much bigger that has a positive effect on airflow. The design of the end tanks is also a factor here.

To further improve airflow, the intercooler inlet has been increased from the OEM Ø52 mm to Ø57 mm, giving a 20% larger cross-sectional area. To make this possible, our kit includes a new turbo-to-intercooler hose designed specifically for the larger inlet.

As with all do88 performance products, the intercooler is developed to find the best balance between cooling efficiency, airflow and fitment.

Performance testing is planned for spring 2027. Proper intercooler testing requires suitable and repeatable ambient conditions, something the Swedish cold winter is not particularly good at providing! Once temperatures rise, we will put the intercooler through our full testing procedure and publish the measured airflow and intake air temperature results here.

The do88 performance intercooler comes with the necessary parts for installation, including the turbo-to-intercooler hose, mounting hardware and installation instructions.
